Rare items on this server have always been a highlighted point in badlands history.. now that the server is somewhat more active and we've got development there are more and more of these things. More tournament weapons, more boss weapons and more armor.

I added a lot of stuff too in the crypt. All of which is fair and balanced.. if an item has a ridiculous on hit property or is crowded with spell slots then it also gives a lot of penalties in turn. Considering the armor with vampiric touch that I made has many AC penalties.. and vulnerabilities to negative energy it's not so broken. The same goes for the staves I made as well as other weapons, most of them aren't even good, they're just fun to play around with.

We shouldn't be too overzealous with this sort've stuff nor should we be making items that are flat out broken. IE the hypothermia which has -only- benefits. Inordinate amounts of damage plus an on hit which isn't blocked by freedom of movement or clarity. ALL weapons on badlands before this thing only had basic on hits, daze, stun, slow etc. Things that can ALL be blocked with either a freedom buff or a clarity. That's why they're not broken. They're still useful when those buffs are stripped or simply non-existent but there is a way to defend against them.

That's why the hypothermia should either be removed entirely from the server or nerfed... Something to cripple the user, like an ac penalty AND a saving throw penalty. Or the on hit freeze from hypothermia should be blocked entirely from paralysis immunity/mind immunity. AKA clarity and freedom.

I will be making the freeze blocked by freedom(the spell) and by certain items which have freedom as an item property(The Arbitrator basically).

Hypothermia is the only uber weapon I intended to bring back, because it was such a cult classic of BadLands 60.

When I brought it back I severely nerfed it's strength(originally it had 6 different on hits, plus freeze) and reduced it's ab bonus.

It's damage, while good, is also 100% resistable. Damage = 2d12 bludgeoning, 2d12 cold.

Well yes this sword is OP as hell. Its like dev crit but with every hit and no feats taken at all.

Also i would rly love to see tourney amulets and weapons in some sort of publicly accessible way. I d love to spend more time on the server making builds but the amount of special weapons and amulets i have sort of limits this. There s no reason to make a character if he s getting a +5 weapon with gimp damage.

Also, fix the underdark armorer so that he properly forges armor off dragon scales when asked.

prodigy was right though and we were only talking about a fts WHIP with crappy damage when here this is a rapier mike

Wish granted, I'll be adding a shop that sells ALL weapons for gold. These weapons last temporarily, specifically they last one whole 24 hour period, but if you play for an hour each day, the period resets to the hour you're presently at. There, weapons are available!

The time limit on the item is 24 hours, it only requires 1 hour to refresh the time limit. Even if you fail to meet the time limit, nothing stops you from buying the item again with gold.
